Building a Pulley and Innovating an Airplane

This week Landen built a pulley in our yard. We have a huge pear tree and it was time to start harvesting the pears! It was really fun for him to build something in real life. He has been reading and studying simple machines for his elective class

Here is a video of it in action:

In my Tech Makerspace class we had an assignment to build a paper airplane. I watched a video on how to build the world's best airplane.

We also played around with a "slow-mo" feature on my mom's phone and made this short clip of it in flight. We added music to it! It is so cool!!

Science: Nervous System week #2, Memory, Thoughts and Emotions

This week we learned about how memories are stored. We played a matching game to experience our ability to remember pictures and where they are located.

Highlight Bonus:

These are the pages of my first birthday party. It was island-luau theme and my mom made two pretty cakes, a smash cake for me and a fishy cake for the guests.

There was a blue marble page in my store of paper for my class. It looked like water with the swirly waves. My mom helped me rip tan paper in half so it looks like wavy sand. Since it was printer-paper size, we took part of the excess paper and lined it up to the edge of the paper, glued it, and put palm trees there to cover up the dividing line. You can't even see it!
