Our Last Week of School + The Lagoon!!!!!!

Math:
I (Kaylee) did CTC lessons on Converting Fractions To Decimals and my favorite thing to do with math, Rounding Off Decimals. I (Landen) practiced Multiplication on Imagine Math. I finished my "world," and now I'm working on Retention, remembering the facts. Next, I'll move on to another world and new facts! I (Emberly) did a few lessons of CTC on Addition, Subtraction, and Beginning Multiplication.

Language Arts:
I (Kaylee) did my End-Of-Year Language Arts test on Exact Path. It was hard. It was 45 questions and took about a whole hour! I think I did pretty good, though. I don't have the results yet. I (Landen) played Sight Word Swap with Emberly. It's where there are a bunch of fly-shaped cards with words on them, and Mom calls out a word. The person who finds the word the fastest swats the fly with a fly swatter, and they win a point! I (Emberly) played Sight Word Swap with Landen.

Mother's Day Soap, Scratch, and Dinosaurs On A Rainbow!

Math:
I (Kaylee) did CTC lessons on Division By A Decimal and Division and Multiplication with decimals and whole numbers. I (Landen) practiced Multiplication on Imagine Math Facts. I took a test there to move on to the next place, and I only need to learn 3 more multiplication facts to pass! Then I'll learn more facts. I (Emberly) did my Princess Addition Workbook with my mommy.

Language Arts:
I (Kaylee) played a Language Arts game with Landen and Mom called Spit It Out! It's a game where you answer the questions WRONG. You have to think of the right answer, and then say something that is not that answer to answer the question correctly. It's basically re-wiring your brain! Also, you roll the dice, and they tell you when to answer questions right. You have to remember which ones you need to answer right, which ones you need to answer wrong, and figure out the answer to the questions all at once! It was hard but so much fun! I (Landen) did TTRS and played Spit It Out! with Kaylee and Mom.  I (Emberly) read several princess stories to my mommy.

Science:
Spa Chemistry (Kaylee):
This week it was Mother's Day, so I made a pink, rose-scented soap with rose petals and a purple, lavender-scented soap with lavender buds. I also crocheted a pink bag, filled it with rose petals, and sewed it closed, and a purple bag, filled it with lavender buds, and sewed it closed. I would've made some bath bombs that are- you guessed it- pink, rose scented, and with rose petals, and purple, lavender scented, and with lavender buds, but we ran out of citric acid.

Elementary Science (Landen):
I watched a video about the science of bubbles. I learned that there are different kinds of bubbles- water bubbles and soap bubbles. I also learned that there is both water and air in both kinds of bubbles. Also, water bubbles are formed underwater. I didn't finish the video, though, so I shall finish it next week.

Technology:
Digital Photography (Kaylee):
I watched a CreativeLive video called Food Styling Q&A. In it, the teacher answered several questions about food photography. One question was, "Are you more of a chef or a photographer when taking photos of food? And do you spend more time on plating the food or shooting?" He answered, "It varies. Sometimes, I get asked to shoot pictures of a restaurant's food, and I don't get to choose how to plate. Other times, shooting is easy, but plating is messy and gross and hard."

Digital Art (Landen):
This week I remixed a project and made a code to change the background. Press 1 for white, 2 for black, 3 for red, and 4 for blue. You can find my project here. I did not make the spiral code, just the backdrop code.

Elective:
Culinary Arts (Kaylee):
This week I made some Mexican Sopapillas!

It's The End... It's Over. 2022-2023 Goodbye!

Pre-Algebra: This week I completed my Final Mr. D. Math lesson and my Semester II test!! I completed a survey and gave them some feedback. I...
