Science: Nervous System week 3: Taste and Smell

This week we read about how nerves transmit messages from our tongue and nasal passages to our brains.


Experiment: Taste
Our mom blindfolded us and put random pieces of food on a plate. She had us eat one and guess what it was. There were 10 different foods like part of a pancake, a chocolate chip, a grape, etc. It was so much fun!

This week Landen built a pulley in our yard. We have a huge pear tree and it was time to start harvesting the pears! It was really fun for him to build something in real life. He has been reading and studying simple machines for his elective class

1st Tinker Crate and Nervous System Week #1


1st Tinker Crate: Build a Spinning Art Machine


This week we got a spin art machine. We prepped the box with our mom and built the motor with our dad. We learned about the resistors on the breadboard above and that the more resistors in front of the bottom black wire, the slower the speed.
