This week we cut out our body parts. Then we stuck them onto our bodies with glue. It was cool to see the project we've been working on all year come together. It was a lot harder than we thought, putting everything exactly where it goes. But in the end, it was worth it.

Finishing April Crates and our LAST Science Unit
Science:
May is the last month of school and that means our last science unit. The one I have been waiting for..... The Reproductive System! My sister and I colored uteri and my brother colored testicles.
We then divided up and my dad and brother read and learned about boy.anatomy and my mom answered my questions about girls and reproduction! I already knew a lot, but I love learning about how babies grow in the womb!
Tech:
We finished the last part of our April crates!
Doodle Crate (Kaylee):
I wove the roving for the mountains, trees, and the cloud. It is fun and now I am a little sad that it is over!
Tinker Crate (Landen):
I finished my Phantom Projector. I put different balls in, and when you look at them and press the button, tilting the projector back and forth, you can see the orange ball as well as the white ball- the ghost ball!
Since the walls of each room are crooked, I might need to fix them...
Elective:
Arts and Crafts (Kaylee):
This week I decorated a plain white hot chocolate mug. I put a quote on one side of it and drew 7 gems on the other side- one for everyone in my family, including me. I colored in the gems with my family's birthstones.

Weaving, a Projector and Painting
Science:
This week we learned about our skin, hair, and nails. We watched some really cool YouTube videos about our hair, skin, and nails. We learned about the different parts and layers in this body system. There was this weird cartoon character who had a mustache with his hands at the tips of it. I said, "what even is that guy?"
We also watched a few videos about the creation of the Earth and other planets and we learned about Pangea. Long ago, all the continents were all joined together! But over hundreds of years, they split apart. Cool!
Tech:
Doodle Crate (Kaylee):
Now that my ocean wave is framed and completed, I started working on this picture that will hang in my brother's room.
Tinker Crate (Landen):
Elective:
Arts and Crafts (Kaylee):
This week we painted wooden animals..
My great Grandpa is building an adventure ride in his backyard for all the great grandchildren to go on. We were asked to paint animals that will be hidden along the way for the kids to find. These are the animals we were given. It was quite the project! It took all week, with both my mom, Landen and I working on them. Here they are!
Mom made the Monarch butterfly and giraffe herself. We painted the base color for each animal, and she added the extra details for most of them.
These are my creations!
Mom helped do the wings of the butterfly- I did the rest. I tried to make them as smooth as I could, and it took a couple different coats to actually cover the wood of the animals.
Building Machines (Landen):
This week I built a project, but then my brother and sister wrecked it. So, I built a police car, a getaway car and this large transporter for gold! The police car drives around the transporter to protect the gold.
If he gets caught... there is a place for him to be hauled away to jail.
