Building Garden Boxes and More!

Science:
We read about hair, skin and nails. We learned about the layers of our skin. The top layer is the epidermis which protects our bodies. The middle layer is the dermis which helps us feel things. And the bottom layer is the hypodermis, which uses fat to attach the dermis to our muscles and bones. I thought that the top layer did everything! We also did a crossword puzzle to test the things that we read about.

Tech:
Doodle Crate (Kaylee):

This week I wove the roving. It looks and feels very fluffy!

Here's what it looks like without the template.

I also framed it and put it in my room. It looks cool and matches the dΓ©cor!

Tinker Crate (Landen):

I continued building my Phantom Projector. I built the second part of the frame. I can't wait to see how it works!

Elective:
Arts and Crafts (Kaylee):

I cut out and colored some sea creatures and mermaids from a coloring book. I think that I chose the perfect colors for the mermaids! Red goes with pink, blonde hair goes with blue, and brown goes with green! Then I glued them onto a sheet of paper and wrote a haiku in the middle: "Calm, fiery, peaceful. The waves crash on sharp rocks. Singing mermaids here."

Building Machines (Landen):

This week I helped my mom and dad build garden boxes for our future garden. I had fun using power tools.

  1. Hi there! It is so nice to have warm weather coming! You guys are always so good to have a garden. Landen, it's awesome you can help make garden boxes. I bet you had fun using the power tools! How many boxes did you all make? What are you going to plant?
I'm sure curious to know how the projector is going to work. Good luck!
I think your wave picture turned out cool, Kaylee. The blue colors are pretty! The mermaids are cute and what a clever haiku! I remember writing haikus back in the day. They have only 3 lines and each line has a specific amount of syllables, right?
How many more weeks of school do you have? It's getting close to summer vacation, I think!
I hope you have a fun May! I love all y'all!πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’™
