This week I did two lessons and completed my Chapter 10 test. I have finished chapter 10!
Creative Writing:
This week we talked some more about playwriting. We came up with more ideas and refined our characters.
Social Studies:
This week I read two chapters of Story Of The World. I read one of them aloud to Shiloh but he wasn't paying attention. He was sticking his tongue out, saying "Blehhhh", and laughing.
Tech (Exploring Technology):
This week I learned about hypnotism! So I headed into Minecraft to show a hypnotism experiment.
It started with a cage of silverfish, which is a Minecraft insect that is pretty much universally hated.
I built statues to show my experiment. First, the subject is afraid of silverfish. A skilled person puts them in a trance-like state, where he is more open to suggestion and relaxed. The person tells him to hold out his hand, and the subject does so. The hypnotizer places a silverfish in his hand, and he doesn't react. Finally, the hypnotizer awakens him from the trance, and he is shocked.
Not much for this build, I know. But it was interesting learning about hypnotism! Beware- I might put you in a trance sometime! *evil laugh*
Elective (Writing for Publication):
This week we refined our articles for the Link student blog. The teacher said each article had great potential and we should keep working on these.
