This week I did my last lesson for Chapter 4 of Mr. D. Math. I completed my Chapter 4 test and got all but one question correct (21 questions). I printed off my Chapter 5 and 6 course work.
Creative Writing:
This week we were sick and I could not go to my Creative Writing class. :((((((((( So instead, I worked on my homework. I am also rereading Dragonwatch, my favorite series ever!!!!!!! It's five books long, and the last 3 are delightfully thick. I'm not rereading book 1 because I've had it longer and I've nearly memorized it. However, Mom bought me the full set, and, after almost non stop reading the series, I've decided it's time to reread! I'm already on book 4.
Social Studies:
This week I read about ancient North America, South America, and Central America. I learned of an ancient North America story called Rabbit Shoots the Sun. It tells of why the sun rises slowly in the morning, and why rabbits are shy.
One day, it was very hot. The animals were too hot and tired to do anything. Rabbit was mad at the sun for being so hot, so at night he waited with his bow and arrow on a mountain. Back then, the sun shot up into the sky instead of slowly rising. So, when the sun shot up in the morning, Rabbit shot the sun with an arrow. Fire rained down, and Rabbit hid under a bush, fearful. Eventually the fire went out. Rabbit is scared of the Sun now, and he hides. The sun is scared of Rabbit, and he slowly creeps over the mountain, looking for Rabbit and his bow.
Elective (Writing for Publication):
This week we were sick and I could not go to my Writing For Publication class. :((((( However, I emailed my teacher my first draft for my Importance of Cataracts report. I also had a question about an image I wanted to use, and I asked her if I could use it since it was partly copyrighted. She looked at it, and I can use it for school purposes. Yay!
