Solving Crime and Fun Crafts!

Science: This week we learned about using blood as evidence in solving crimes. We became investigators and examined a genetic fingerprint!

A genetic fingerprint is a certain row of black lines, like the photo above. Scientists can compare different rows and figure out who did the crime.

Tech:
Doodle Crate (Kaylee):
My February Crate is..... make your own handwoven baskets.

I'm going to make them to match my room colors!

This week I took the t-shirt fabric strips and stretched them to make t-shirt yarn.
Tinker Crate (Landen):
This week I finished up my January crate with a bonus activity from the included Tinker Zine.

And here is a video of it in action:

Elective:
Arts and Crafts (Kaylee):
For Christmas I got this latch hook slipper kit. This week I trimmed the soles to fit my foot. I began making rows of color. It is fun. I will be working on these for weeks to come!

Building Machines (Landen):
This week I built a boat, it is part one of the project that I am working on.

  1. Hi there! The baskets will be so fun to make! I'm glad you're excited to make them. I can hardly wait to see one completed! Have fun! What other colors are the yarns for the slippers? I made a tiny latch hook rug years and years and years ago.
Is that a peekaboo guy Landen made with his tinker crate? It will be good to see the week by week project Landen is making- starting with the boat.
Keep writing these great blogs, cause I'm sure enjoying reading them!๐Ÿ˜˜
