We learned that we can't feel our pulse with our thumb. The thumb pulsates like a pulse. Instead, we use these two fingers. We also learned where we can find our pulse: in the neck, in the wrist, and on the foot.
We learned that when we exercise, our heart pumps blood faster, making more beats each minute! Before exercising, Landen had 80 beats per minute and I had 82. When we started jumping, Landen's heartbeat increased to 112 beats per minute, and my heartbeat was 128 beats per minute! Wow!
Tech:
Doodle Crate (Kaylee):
I stretched it before weaving and I did my best, but there isn't enough t-shirt yarn to go all the way to the top. I will innovate it more next week so that it looks good.
Tinker Crate (Landen):
This week I finished my game by building a catapult. Then, Kaylee and I played a few games and mixed up the colored tiles to see who won. First, Kaylee won. I beat her twice after that!
And here is a video to go with it:
Elective:
Arts and Crafts (Kaylee):
I did the pink row on both of my pretty slippers. After that I got bored. It was very repetitive and long.
Building Machines (Landen): This week I built a truck and trailer. It can be used for the police or just for camping. The trailer even opens up from the side.

Hi there! Another week of getting to read your blog...YES!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a workout jump roping can be! So good for the heart! I notice my heart rate increases when I ride my exercise bike.
I guess I got my answer to the next color on your slippers-pink. How long does it take to put a row on each slipper?
I agree with your dad. The truck and trailer are cool! Do you have lots and lots of Legos?
