December Crates and Pajamas

Science: We played this new game called Scabs 'N' Guts!

It is a very disgusting game but it is very educational. Landen and I learned new facts such as the heart pumps 2 ounces of blood each time it beats.

Here is the game board! There are also cards that have questions on them that we answer. The wild cards can make you do a silly and disgusting act and then you move forward on the gameboard or say something like "you farted in the movie theater and everyone knew it was you" and you move back. Landen got that card. Mom had to act out how she would look if she had food poisoning. I had to pretend that I was gurgling pee as mouthwash and I had to show everyone my showering routine. Eww!

Tech: December crates have arrived!

Kaylee (Doodle Crate):

This week I learned how to emboss!

Step 1: Emboss. I used the included rubbing plates and the embossing tool to rub textures onto the lanterns. There were three different plates and several options. So much fun! It did make my hand sore, though.

Here it is! My very first lantern.

After embossing I punched holes in it with the included punching tool and glued colored paper onto the inside. When I folded it, assembled it, and turned the lights on, the light showed through the paper and the holes and it is very pretty! I love my crate!

I finished our pajama bottoms! And we bought matching shirts.

I built a train and a mini rail!

I had enough pieces to build a track and so I built a train to go with it.

Bonus Highlight:

We have been listening to Harry Potter with the Harry Potter at Home videos!

Because of Covid-19, a bunch of people came together and made these videos. This is what we have been doing for a bedtime story most nights. This week we finished the 1st book! There are also some cool quizzes and activities to do on Wizarding World .
