Why do we need a skeleton?
A skeleton is a structure of bones that keeps us from turning to a pile of organs and flesh. It also supports the human body, protects the heart and lungs, and helps you move. No wonder we need bones! Cool!

As you can see.. the bone printouts fit the size of Emberly's body perfectly. Unfortunately, we were not able to make our bones longer, we decided to place them in their approximate locations.
We also read about how bones are formed and we learned that the strongest substance in the body is enamel. This is what our teeth are made of!
Tech:
We made balloon boats and filled up a container with water. We tried out new boats and added balloons, straws, masking tape, etc. It was fun to innovate the boats! We learned about different kinds of boats and why they float.
Elective:
Arts and Crafts (Kaylee):
This is the scrapbooking page that I made. It is of my very first Halloween. Cute costume, am I right?
Building Machines (Landen):
Boy! You're right! It's a good thing we have bones so we're not just globs on the floor. Did the boats move how you thought? A car with a laser...cool. Landen! I remember that costume, Kaylee! The costume is cute and so are you! I believe you're sitting on the island in our home in Syracuse! I love seeing this blog!!!💜
ReplyDelete👍! Awesome again! 😁
ReplyDeleteThe boats just floated around, which is easy to expect. But when we switched out the boats from a tin can to a Duplo container lid, to a plastic container we found that some things float better than others.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Writing a blog is fun to do!
Kaylee, of course.
